(LOS ANGELES & MUMBAI, November 11, 2021) – Ingrooves Music Group, a world leader in music distribution, marketing and technology, announced today that it has signed global deals with two of the biggest stars in India. Ingrooves will release the future output from superstar actor, producer, composer, and singer Himesh Reshammiya as well as that of artists on his label, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies. Reshammiya, fondly known as HR, is one of the biggest hit machines in India’s music industry, due to his powerful and acclaimed body of work. Additionally, Ingrooves has also signed Yo Yo Honey Singh, one of the most popular singers & entertainers from India to a global distribution deal.
These deals were forged by industry veteran Amit Sharma who has been named as Ingrooves Country Manager, India, further expanding the company’s presence into this important and growing global music market, showcasing the company’s dynamic suite of services to a new wave of artists from the country.

Sharma joins Ingrooves from Gaana, one of India’s major domestic commercial music streaming services, with over 200 million monthly users, where he served as Assistant Vice President of Content Acquisitions. Previously he worked as Head of Music and Telecom at Eros and held positions at various Indian telecom companies, including Idea Cellular and Airtel. Amit is based in Mumbai.

One of the biggest composers, actors, producers, and superstar singers, Reshammiya, has generated several hits since joining forces with Ingrooves this summer. His recent hit songs include: “Tere Pyar Mein,” which has amassed 200 million+ views on YouTube; “Sanseinn,” which has more than 70 million+ YouTube views; and “Piya Ji Ke Sanng” released October 12th, reaching 30 million+ YouTube views to date. Reshammiya’s deal also includes the artists on his label, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies – which has garnered more than 800 million views and 300 million audio streams in only three months.
Indian singer, rapper and actor, Yo Yo Honey Singh is one of the biggest stars in Indian music and the entertainment industry. The deal includes the artist-owned label – Yo Yo Honey Singh. On YouTube, his songs are closing in on 3 billion views in the last 365 days and some of his latest hits are crossing milestones with “Saiyaan Ji” – 550 million, “Kanta Laga” – 200 million and “Jingle Bell” – 150 million views across all versions and his works regularly amass 100 million+ spins across audio DSP’s. One of his early non-Bollywood songs, “Blue Eyes,” is still the rage across platforms with more than 550 million+ views across various versions on YouTube and has repeatedly trended across platforms even this year.
