Founded in 1990, Ubiquity Records was also a first of its kind U.S. Record label that specialized in re-releasing vintage jazz, funk, soul and Latin music, known at the time as ‘Rare Groove’. Ubiquity also releases contemporary music of all genres. In 2004, Ubiquity was awarded ‘Worldwide’ Label of The Year by Gilles Peterson-BBC Radio 1. The company now owns or controls nearly 10,000 music copyrights. Ubiquity also acts as a music publisher and specializes in placing music in film, tv and advertisements.
